Wings

She thought she knew her boundaries too well,
She cried a little when the cold night fell.
Took up things in her stride,
She didn't oppose the ride.

Insecurities playing in the back of her head,
She went ahead where her destiny led.
Gathered a little courage to face her fear,
But the clouds were too many to clear.

She tried her best, little luck on her side.
She realised that it was her time to glide.
Brushing against the cold air, she landed just fine,
Time seemed to be on her side, to slay the inner demons of her mind.

She soared high, she got lost, found new places.
Happy with being herself, but her fears still had traces.
A new battle to be fought, a stronger enemy to defeat.
She made it through with a few scars on her feet.

She found her true self, the purpose of her life.
She found her inner voice, finally, without a strife.
On a journey to get what she desires, prepared to take on new trials.
Living life to her fullest, she's been flying a thousand miles.

"Boundaries, who can actually define them?", she asked herself with a smile as she took her flight.
